Important Tax Year-End Procedures

The University of Toronto is closed for the holidays as of December 24, 2024 and will reopen on January 6, 2024.

To make a tax year-end gift please donate securely online or call our Donations Management Office at 416-978-0811. Their hours of operation and other important details regarding tax year-end giving can be found below. Thank you.

• Online: Gifts must be received no later than midnight Eastern Standard Time on December 31, 2024.
• By Mail: Gifts must be received no later no later than January 22, 2025. Please note, as per CRA guidelines, donations must be hand delivered or postmarked no later than December 31, 2024. Postmarked envelopes or other evidence of delivery such as a courier slip must accompany all donations delivered to our Donations Management Office after December 31, 2024. Contactless drop offs including couriers not requiring signature can be made in person at the mail slot by the rear entrance to 21 King’s College Circle.
• Gifts of Securities: Gifts must be received in our account no later than December 29, 2024. For information on making gifts of securities, please contact Geoffrey Berry at geoffrey.berry@utoronto.ca or 416-978-2214.

• Tuesday, December 31 10:00am ‐ 2:00pm
• Thursday, January 2 10:00am ‐ 4:00pm
• Friday, January 3 10:00am ‐ 4:00pm
