In this edition of our U of T Dentistry alumni e-newsletter, we reflect on some of the wonderful moments we've shared as a community this fall and celebrate our recent ranking as the top dental school in Canada once again. This season, students participated in travel and learning exchanges, Pain Awareness Week took place with Dentistry as the lead at U of T, gum disease research received a big boost, and we celebrated volunteers, donors, instructors and student award and bursary recipients at the annual Dean’s Appreciation Reception. November brought further joy as we recognized the accomplishments of our fall graduates at Convocation.
Looking ahead, we are excited that 2025 will be a standout year for the Faculty of Dentistry, as we prepare to celebrate 150 years of dental education. The year will be marked by special events and campaigns aimed at propelling our school and community into the future. Details of these celebrations can be found below.
Additionally, we value your input and have launched our annual alumni engagement survey – we encourage you to share your thoughts and feedback with us! The first 200 respondents will be entered in a draw to win one of five $50 Amazon.ca gift cards.
These are but a few of the exciting activities taking place in our community. Thank you for being an integral part of what makes U of T Dentistry so special. Wishing you all the best for the upcoming holiday season, and we look forward to celebrating with many of you next year as we commemorate our 150th milestone.
Warmly,
Selina Esteves
Director of Advancement
