Happy New Year! As we usher in 2025, I want to take this opportunity to reach out to you and other members of the Temerty Faculty of Medicine’s alumni community to share a few recent news highlights.
As both a proud Temerty Medicine alumna and now the Faculty’s dean, I am continually inspired by our alumni’s many accomplishments. Our graduates are shaping the future of health care across Toronto, throughout Canada and around the globe — having an oversized impact on the health and wellbeing of people and communities everywhere.
The enduring connections of our alumni to the Faculty strengthen our mission and help ensure that we continue to lead the way in improving health and health care for all. Together, we are pushing the frontiers of what we know about the human body and disease, training new generations of health care leaders and driving life-changing innovations in patient care.

For over 100 years, U of T MD students have put on Daffydil — a stage show entirely written, produced, directed and performed by MD students. This year’s production, The Hippocratic Oaf, runs from February 20-22, 2025 and a portion of proceeds will help fund MD student bursaries. Get your tickets now.
If you are unable to attend Daffydil and would like to help MD students with financial need, or you are interested in making a separate gift, please donate to the Daffydil Fund through our secure online donation page.

U of T Giving Day 2025
Temerty Medicine is proud to be participating in the third annual U of T Giving Day. Join us as we come together to celebrate and support inclusive excellence at our Faculty and across the University. The campaign launches in late February and wraps up on Giving Day, Wednesday, March 26th.

The Temerty Faculty of Medicine alumni community is a network of more than 71,000 health-care leaders that includes graduates of our graduate and life sciences, rehabilitation sciences, radiation sciences, Physician Assistant, MD and MD/PhD programs, as well as former residents and fellows.
Temerty Medicine’s Advancement Office connects our community of students, alumni, volunteers and donors to meaningful and transformative initiatives advancing health and health care.
